Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage Wishignite uses, why, and the choices you have. It is part of our Privacy Policy. The Service is operated by Lilico LLC.

1. What "cookies" means here

Cookies are small text entries a site stores in your browser. We use the word broadly here to include localStorage entries that behave the same way.

2. What we use and why

2.1 Strictly necessary

These make the site work and cannot be turned off:

  • Sign-in session (Supabase, cookies beginning with "sb-"): keeps you signed in to your exchanges and wishlist. Set when you sign in or join as a guest.
  • Consent record ("cc_cookie"): remembers your cookie choices for one year, so we do not ask on every visit.
  • Our error monitoring (Sentry) sets no cookies on this site.

2.2 Analytics (optional, off by default)

PostHog (cookies beginning with "ph_" plus a matching localStorage entry): product analytics that helps us understand which features matter. Stores a random visitor identifier, never your name or email, and expires after one year. These are off by default and are only set after you accept them in the banner or preferences. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, both optional categories, analytics and affiliate links, stay off until you explicitly opt in.

2.3 Advertising and cross-site tracking (optional, off by default)

Skimlinks (cookies and browser storage entries beginning with "skimlinks" or "__skim"): our affiliate partner, which turns some outbound store links into affiliate links and records which link you click, so we can earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This script only loads after you accept the affiliate-links category in the banner or preferences; it is off by default. Amazon links are not affected; they already carry our own affiliate tag directly and are never passed to Skimlinks. Retailer links on wishlists take you to the retailer's own site, where the retailer's own cookie policy applies.

  • use the cookie banner shown on your first visit
  • open right here or from any page's footer
  • we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal

5. Browser-level controls

Your browser can also block or delete cookies entirely. Note that blocking the strictly necessary cookies will sign you out. See your browser's help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we will make that clear on the site. The date at the top always tells you when it last changed.
